The district's summer programs are designed to support students in achieving greater academic success. A mixture of learning and teaching for participants to increase and to sharpen their intellect, and enrichment to enable them to realize their full potential. These programs will spark your student’s creativity. They will ignite your student’s curiosity. But most importantly, they will bolster your student’s comprehension.

EOG Intervention
These standardized tests can create stress for 5th and 8th grade students and parents. And that’s understandable. Not all students test at a proficient level in literacy, math or science. This program allows students to receive support with an opportunity to retest. But do keep in mind that the initial course grade is not replaced.

Bridge/Accelerator
Your rising 9th grader can’t wait to step foot on their Title 1 high school campus. Don’t make them wait until late August. Let them experience high school life during this transitional program. Here’s what awaits them:
- Support with Math 1
- College and Career exploration
- Social emotional well-being
- Physical Enrichment
- Field Trips

Freshman Connection
This program is for rising 9th graders at the non-Bridge/Accelerator high schools. The experience here will take your student beyond his/her high school campus. A four-week program that features:
- What it’s like to be a freshman
- Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways
- Exposure to local universities and community colleges
Dates: June 26 - July 27 (No session during July 4 week)
Time: Monday - Thursday; 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. -
Graduate on Time (GOT)
Your senior is so looking forward to graduating in June with their peers. But they may be just a few credits shy. Sign them up and they’ll have the opportunity to complete their high school requirements and can graduate at the end of the program. Don’t delay.
Credit Recovery - Failure is not an option. We firmly believe this. That’s why CMS offers students the chance to obtain one unit of new coursework or two units to recover coursework.

Kindergarten Bridge
This pilot program will allow Pre-K students from ten select RTA sites a summer camp experience to help prepare them for kindergarten.

Out-of-School Time Tutoring
Students at selected schools are eligible for tutoring and summer camp experience to recoup lost instruction due to the impact of the Covid 19 epidemic.

Personalized Academic Command of English (P.A.C.E.)
Think intense learning. But don’t let that intimidate your student. Envision impactful results. A program focused on language development in English Language Arts (ELA). Your student will also receive math support. Does your student like art? Do they want to explore movement and technology? This camp provides all of that and more and will prepare your student for the upcoming school year.

Read to Achieve (RTA)
Every student should be reading at or above grade level by the end of third grade. This camp will help students move toward reading proficiency.
