Grades K-5

Families can view pdf versions of the Digital Citizenship & AI Literacy lessons outlined below in the drop down menus. All 3rd to 5th-grade students are required to complete the What is AI? lesson providing students with an introduction to AI.

Grades 3-12 

Families can access the CMS Digital Citizenship & AI Literacy lessons as a Canvas Observer and explore a dedicated Parent Course for extra support. AI Literacy content is consistent in grades 6-8 and 9-12. To view the full course, see the drop-down menus below.

Pre-K-12 Student Course Content

CMS Digital Citizenship & AI Literacy lessons were created using Common Sense Media (CSM) curriculum. CSM utilizes research-based lessons to support students' social-emotional learning and digital well-being.

The Digital Citizenship and AI Literacy curriculum is based on Common Sense Education, which offers resources to support discussions, lessons, and activities.
