When should you begin to look at universities and colleges?
To ensure that you get the best experience after high school it is important to begin looking at colleges towards the end of your sophomore year and have your top picks by your junior year. You should know the following about each of your choices:
-
What are the requirements for admission? GPA (unweighted), do they require SAT or ACT and the needed score, essay requirements.
-
Do they accept Cambridge Credits? If they do which ones? If not, have you spoken to Ms. Kelso?
-
What scholarships do they offer, what are the deadlines, and how do you apply for them?
-
Do they have the major that you need? Are they known for being leaders in this field? (This is easily the most important question to ask yourself.)
-
-

Tips When Registering for Classes
1. Know that the majority of your Cambridge credits will go towards electives.
2. Realize that some universities may not accept all of your credits, especially not in your major.
3. Ask questions. Be a self-advocate, but listen to their advice. They are there to help you make good choices when it comes to your major and graduating in a timely manner.
4. Know your path, but be flexible. New experiences are amazing, and you should be open to them. Get involved with student life and other opportunities around campus.
